Freely exploring color and form, Sarina begins each painting with no pre-determined intention. Intuitively, she uncovers figuration, soft narration and scenarios in her deliberate brush work. Through the tonal infused abstraction of her artistic practice, the artist reveals a cornucopia of imagery. Natural narrative is created from the process of painting and focused observation.
While the imagery’s inspirations derive from the personal, abstraction and images far from her studio, Sarina again references ideas of place and moment. The process of release, vision, and emotion infuses her work however the viewer chooses. These paintings intend to transcend the limitations of figuration or personal history, empowering the work with infinite interpretations. Rich palette becomes both subject and vehicle of explosive creation, bringing new possibilities to perception.
